Many Canadians waited all weekend to hear: "maybe I will" or "maybe I won’t". That pretty much sums up the Liberals' announcement made yesterday. I don’t know if the NDPs know something the rest of us don’t, but I am hearing that they are out trying to gather funds for an election run. Maybe this is just in case. I don’t know.

Well as I was sittin’ waiting for the weather report to come on the radio so I could decide if it was a good day to start the 2009 haying season or fix fence also known as donating blood to the local mosquito population. The radio news report says that Harper’s progress report is out and the Block and Ndp are against it and that the Liberals are going to read it then decide if they should trigger an election or not.

I recently had a run in with a young Lady ( I am using the term loosely ). She was trespassing in my field next to the road, where her and the dog she was with had decided to take a look at some calves in the field.

Once upon a time there was a idea to form an independent nation called Canada. It would be a place for freedom and democracy, where people would elect representatives and things would get done. If they didn’t the government would change and then things would get done. Now, it seems that all 3 parties want to sit around point fingers and throw mud. I have only one vote, and yes it is a Rural Riding. I vote every time, hoping it will make a difference. I can say I vote for which ever party is making the most sense to me when I make my decision.

Attention All Members of W.S.I.C.I.W.E.M.. Club of Canada.(Why Should I Care It Won’t Effect Me) Club Of Canada. I was attending a meeting of the U.N. (U in Line or Just Talking) at our local feed mill where we meet to buy supplies and solve Canada’s problems. The phone rang and we got to hear a conversation that made most of us shake our heads and tsk tsk. The Lady that runs the feed mill was asked if she had any weed killer for lawns when she told the person on the phone that The Ontario government’s cosmetic pesticides ban took effect April 22, 2009 and she could not sell any now.

I recently was reading an article about how the Canadian Auto Workers Union and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers had plans to unite to try and force the purchase of Canadian made vehicles. While I applaud the sentiment it does make me wonder about a few things. Does the Union also push there membership to buy Canadian do they tell their members what products to buy such as Canadian Beef or Canadian Pork or Canadian Grain Products.
