our mission at www.freshbid.com is to connect buyers and sellers, encourage our members to follow the best practices in the industry and increase the consumption of local produce. We realized that too many family-owned farms have been doing business with the same buyers for years. As a result, a surprising number of buyers are not aware of all produce availability in their local markets. To counter that phenomenon, we created a search engine that buyers can use for free to search and find all the fruits and vegetable available on their local, national and international markets.

Freshbid was a success story in Quebec this summer. A great number of buyers called us saying that thanks to Freshbid, they discovered new local contacts! For example, a buyer who had been doing business for years with a local carrot grower didn’t know that he had been growing cabbage for two years also. He learned it through freshbid and contacted him immediately to do break a deal.
