Bryan Corner: This year 2009 we celebrate our 150th year as a local farmers market. We had a Gala Dinner on April 18th at the Lindsay Golf and Country Club. We had approx. 70 people in attendance, the meal was excellent...a lot of those in attendance thought so...how often have you ever seen several farmers agree on anything, the loco--I mean local comedian, Denis Grignon, was excellent, he even drew a few of the audience into his routine. All in all I would say that it was a very successful evening, we got to meet some past vendors and some of our customers even came out!!! Thanks to all who organized, or had anything at all to do with the evening--including those who just came out for the meal!!! THANK YOU
On June 27th we are celebrating in Victoria Park, which is right next door to where we have the market every, there are supposed to be clown(s), petting zoo, some historical items?(that doesn't mean a bunch of old people standing around), a pancake breakfast, bar-b-q lunch, as well as the regular market,OOOHHH and Canada Day birthday cake too. The hours for this days events are the same as the market hours---7 am--1 pm
