Georgetown, a small Prince Edward Island community has issued an appeal for help, “Help a Community - Eat Lobster / Eat Lobster –Help a Community” and Wolfe Island is perhaps is the first community outside of PEI to respond to that appeal.

For the past months, a group of dedicated people have been working together to bring a community driven market in Kingston's north end. Their efforts bore fruit last Sunday.
Kingston's newest market was launched last Sunday with a good turnout. The Community Harvest Market, located in the city's north end, at the Wally Elmer Neighborhood Centre attracted people from the surrounding areas and from all over the city.

KEDCO Supports Efforts for a Farmer's Market in Kingston's West End

The Kingston Economic Development Corporation (KEDCO) will be approaching some property owners in the west end to discuss the possibility of a site for this proposed market. There has been overwhelming community support for this project.

PC Partners With Rural Ontario (PRO)

Randy Hillier Hosted the first of a series of meetings of the PC Partners With Rural Ontario (PRO); a project initiated by the leader of the opposition, Mr. John Tory.
Partners with Rural Ontario's Official Launch was Monday, December 1st 2008. Belleville was the first stop of the PRO tour. The Team held private meetings with municipal leaders, business leaders and hosted a town hall meetings at the Belleville Legion Hall from 7:00 to 9:00pm.
